I’m returning from the 2009 Digital Humanities Summer Institute at the University of Victoria, which took place this week. It was a great opportunity to find out what’s happening in Digital Humanities across Canada and beyond and meet fellow DH practitioners.

I took the “Digital Tools for Literary History” course.  The tools we looked at can are on the course webpage. (Another listing of DH tools can be found in Alan Liu’s Toy Chest.) I hope to be able to share what I learned with the rest of the working group. And I encourage working group members to attend DHSI 2010!

This is the title of a presentation by Moacir P. de Sá Pereira, a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of English Language and Literature, University of Chicago. The presentation can be viewed online.

I think he would be an excellent visiting workshop leader for the working group.
